A quiet base on Sithonia's west coast

Vasiliki's Cocoon Residence is a newly built stone villa arranged over two levels, a few minutes on foot from the sea at Nikiti. The interiors are pared back: white walls, large pale tiles, oak joinery and soft indirect lighting.

Living and cooking

The ground floor opens into a bright living area with a deep sofa, woven lounge chairs and a wall-mounted TV. A concrete stair leads to the bedrooms above. A separate galley kitchen sits just off the living room, with hob, oven, extractor and a full-size fridge-freezer.

Sleeping

Three bedrooms sleep up to seven. Two have double beds, each with its own glazed door onto a terrace, air conditioning, and hanging and drawer space. The third holds two single beds with a pull-out bed beneath, which works well for children or for a third couple. Two bathrooms serve the house, finished in green slate with walk-in rain showers.

Outside

A covered veranda runs along the side of the house: timber ceiling, retractable awning, and a long table seating six, opening onto the lawn.

Nikiti and around

The beach is 300 metres away, with soft sand and shallow water that suits small children. The seafront promenade has tavernas and cafes, and the marina, just over a kilometre south, runs boat rentals and sunset sailing trips. A short walk uphill brings you into Nikiti's old town, a stone-built Macedonian village of cobbled lanes. Agios Ioannis beach is five minutes by car, and Thessaloniki airport 87 kilometres.

The villa is pet-friendly (up to two), non-smoking, and let on a minimum seven-night stay.
