Set back in a complex in Ornos, this two-bedroom Mykonian house sits about 150 metres from Korfos Beach, known among windsurfers and kitesurfers for its steady winds from May to October, and 400 metres from Ornos Beach, whose sheltered bay, protected by cliffs and buildings, is one of the safest swimming beaches on Mykonos. One bedroom looks out to the sea, the other is open-plan, and both share a single bathroom and a living room with air conditioning throughout.
Outside, two private verandas give guests their own quiet corner away from the shared pool, which is open from April to October and governed by set siesta hours. The kitchen is fully equipped down to a Nespresso machine, and high-speed Wi-Fi covers the house.
Ornos itself sits in front of a small fishing village a few kilometres from Mykonos Town, with tavernas and more polished waterfront restaurants, a supermarket, bakery and pharmacy all within 3 to 5 minutes' walk. A bus stop nearby connects to town, and water sports schools on Ornos and Korfos beaches offer everything from kitesurfing lessons to scuba diving for those keen to get out on the water rather than just look at it.
