Acropolis Grand Residence

Set in a neoclassical building from the 1930s, this residence sits directly opposite the Temple of Olympian Zeus, roughly 500 metres southeast of the Acropolis. The pedestrian walkway to the city's main sights begins within 50 metres of the door, putting the Acropolis Museum three minutes away and the Parthenon, Theatre of Dionysus and Hadrian's Library within a five-minute walk. Inside, three bedrooms have double beds and one has twin singles, all fitted with American imported mattresses, and each bedroom has its own 40-inch smart TV. Both double bedrooms and the living room share the view of the ancient temple, and the living room's 50-inch 4K screen with surround sound sits alongside two sofas. The kitchen is fully equipped, from a Nespresso machine to a dishwasher, and the dining area seats up to ten, useful for groups travelling together. Beyond the door, Plaka unfolds as Athens' oldest neighbourhood, its neoclassical façades and bougainvillea-lined lanes filled with tavernas, among them Platanos, serving classic Greek food beneath plane trees since 1932. Zappeion Garden, with its shaded paths and open-air cinema, offers a quieter walk nearby.
