Rustic Chalet

The Rustic Chalet is a 75 m² house built around stone and wood, giving it a cozy, lived-in feel rather than a polished holiday-rental look. One bedroom with a queen bed and a living room where a sofa sleeps a child make it a good fit for couples or small families. A fireplace anchors the sitting area for cooler evenings, while the fully equipped kitchen and dining table cover everyday needs. The private terrace opens onto a garden and mountain view, with easy access to a shared pool and playground.

Stavros sits on the northern tip of the Akrotiri Peninsula, a village of around 543 people some 15-17 km from Chania, about a 25-30 minute drive. Its harbor sits below Mount Vardies, the camel-shaped mountain used as the backdrop for the Sirtaki scene in Zorba the Greek. Two beaches flank the village: a shallow, Blue Flag stretch of turquoise water and white sand suited to families, and a smaller, pebblier beach with a wilder feel. Tavernas, cafés and mini-markets are within walking distance.

Air conditioning, Wi-Fi and cable TV round out the comforts, alongside beach towels and pool towels for the short walk to the water.
