Junior Suites

Areti Suites occupies a peaceful spot in Kathiana, a village at the heart of the Akrotiri Peninsula known for its olive groves and vineyards, 12 km from Chania city center. The nine suites are newly built and individually decorated, split between twin-bed layouts with a sofa bed and double-bed suites with a double sofa, each with its own bathroom, air conditioning included at no extra cost, and plenty of natural light. A landscaped garden surrounds the property, and an amphitheater-style open space in front of the hotel gives children room to play safely.

Akrotiri's coastline is within easy reach, with beaches such as Stavros, Kalathas, Tersanas and the rockier Seitan Limania all a short distance away; Stavros itself, a sandy lagoon on the north coast, was used as a filming location for Zorba the Greek. The peninsula is also home to several monasteries, including Agia Triada, built in 1632 with a Doric-columned Cretan Renaissance façade.

Back at the hotel, the bar restaurant and pool with its children's area are available to guests, and the concierge can arrange car rental or airport transfers. Kathiana's own café and Cretan kitchen add a local touch, especially during the September grape harvest celebrations.
