Economy Room

Areti Suites sits in Kathiana, a village of around 350 residents on the Akrotiri Peninsula, roughly two minutes by car from Chania International Airport and about ten minutes from the Port of Souda. The Economy Room is one of five twin-bed suites in this new nine-suite hotel, fitted with a sofa bed, air conditioning at no extra charge, and an en-suite bathroom, with plenty of natural light throughout.

Guests have access to a landscaped garden, an outdoor freshwater pool with sunbeds and umbrellas, a pool bar and snack bar, and a restaurant that offers baby chairs on request. A large amphitheatre-style space in front of the hotel gives children room to play safely, while daily maid service, room service, and a 24-hour reception handle the practical side of a stay.

Tersanas Beach, with fine sand and crystal clear water, lies a kilometer north of the village. The 17th-century Agia Triada Monastery, architecturally one of the most important examples of Cretan Renaissance design, is also within reach on the peninsula, and each September the village square hosts events tied to Kathiana's long tradition of wine and raki production.
