The Design Suite occupies the upper floor of the building, arranged as a single-level residence with its own private pool and a generous terrace. Inside, a queen-size bed, sitting area and fireplace sit alongside design furnishings that pair stone details and original Turkish locks with contemporary pieces — a combination that gives the space a relaxed, unforced character rather than a showroom feel. A side sea view opens from the balcony, and the pool area offers a private spot to sit out without leaving the room.

Rethymno's old town, regarded as the best preserved medieval town in Greece, is close by, with its Fortezza fortress and the Venetian-era Rimondi Fountain along the waterfront. Ethnikis Antistaseos Street and the surrounding lanes hold the town's tavernas, rakadika and shops selling olive oil, honey and leather goods, useful for an evening walk or a slower dinner. Platanes beach, an organized stretch of soft sand, lies about 4 km to the east for those wanting the coast rather than the cobblestones. Daily maid service and a welcome drink on arrival are also included.
