Villas for large groups in Halkidiki

A villa for a large group has to do more than sleep everyone. It needs enough bathrooms that nobody queues, a table for twelve outside, a kitchen with two fridges, and a pool or a beach close enough that the group can split up and come back together without a car. Halkidiki is three peninsulas an hour south of Thessaloniki: Kassandra with the resorts, Sithonia with the coves and pine forest, and the quiet Athos coast. The sea is shallow and calm, the villages have tavernas that seat twelve without blinking, and the big villas sit on hillsides between them.

Every villa on this page sleeps at least eight. On each listing we show the exact bedroom list, how many are doubles and how many twins, the number of bathrooms, whether there are two living areas or two separate buildings (useful for two families, or for the grandparents), and whether the pool deck and the dining terrace have room for the whole group at once. The biggest villas in Halkidiki sleep fourteen to twenty; for more than that we book two villas next door to each other, which is usually cheaper and always calmer.

What to check: the ratio of bathrooms to bedrooms; whether beds can be set up as twins or doubles; noise rules if you plan to celebrate, because most villages have neighbours; parking for several cars; and the deposit, which for large villas is higher. Most of our large villas are in Pefkochori, Hanioti and Sani on Kassandra; Nikiti, Vourvourou and Neos Marmaras on Sithonia. Transfers for a group are one mini van or a van and a car; we quote both.
