Aetherion Suites sits in the centre of Georgioupoli, on Crete's northern coast, a hundred metres from the sand where the ten-kilometre beach begins. Mountain ridges rise behind the building, and most of the seven suites open onto a private balcony or patio with views over the rooftops and hills. The Superior Suite, at 37 square metres, sleeps four and has its own balcony; the smaller Standard and Queen suites suit couples wanting less space and lower rates.

Each suite is fitted with a kitchenette that includes a stovetop, kettle and coffee machine, useful for slow mornings before heading to the tavernas fifty to a hundred metres away. Soundproof windows keep the rooms quiet despite the lively square nearby, and electronic locks make arrival simple at any hour.

The whitewashed Agios Nikolaos chapel at the end of the pier is a short walk along the shore, and the town square, lined with eucalyptus trees, holds most of the restaurants and bars. Chania and Rethymno are both under half an hour by car, and Lake Kournas, Crete's only freshwater lake, is less than an hour away by car for those wanting a look at inland Crete.
