This 20-square-meter studio sleeps two, with either a large double bed or two single beds arranged to suit the group. A private balcony looks over a garden, giving the room a quiet outlook away from street noise, reinforced by soundproofing built into the walls.

The kitchenette is fully equipped with cooking utensils and appliances, so simple meals can be prepared without stepping out, and a washing machine means longer stays do not require a trip to a laundrette. A coffee maker is provided for mornings, and a private bathroom, air conditioning and flat-screen TV are also included. Wi-Fi is available throughout.

Chania's old town is built around a 14th-century Venetian harbour, still marked by its landmark lighthouse, and its old streets show Byzantine, Venetian and Classical Greek influences side by side. For beach days, Falassarna's wide stretch of golden sand lies on Crete's western edge, while Elafonisi, known for its pink-tinged sand, is about 82 kilometers southwest of town, better suited to a full day out.
