The Premium Suite sits closest to the beach of all the rooms on the property, a genuine advantage for anyone who wants to be in the water within minutes of waking up. At 42m2 it comfortably sleeps four across a double bed, a single, and a sofa bed, with its own private patio furnished for sitting out in the evenings. Sunbeds and umbrellas on the beach are included, so mornings can start with coffee from the in-room Nespresso machine and end with a swim before dinner.

Inside, the kitchenette is stocked with proper kitchenware and an air fryer, useful for anyone who prefers cooking a simple meal over eating out every night, while air conditioning and a flat screen keep things easy on warmer afternoons. The garden view from the veranda adds a bit of greenery to the outlook without competing with the beach itself.

Halkidiki is a three-legged peninsula about an hour from Thessaloniki, with golden sand beaches and pine forests across its length. Mount Athos, the self-governed monastic community on the third leg, can be visited by boat tour, while Sithonia's Kavourotrypes and Karydi beaches, with their white rock formations and turquoise waters, make for an easy day out from this base.
