Pefkochori itself lies on the western coast of the Kassandra peninsula, facing the Toroneos Gulf, with its own Blue Flag beach running 2.5 kilometres along the shore — fine sand mixed with pebbles and a gentle slope into the water, well suited to unhurried mornings. The village promenade, a short walk from most hotels in the area, is lined with restaurants and shops, and the central square draws a steady crowd to its cafes through the evening.

For dinner, the village's family-run tavernas serve the usual Greek staples done properly — grilled octopus, moussaka, souvlaki, local cheeses and wine — without much fuss or pretence. Daily maid service and room service until midnight round out a stay built around simplicity: a good view, a comfortable bed, and a beach close enough not to think twice about.
