Paliouri itself is a village of narrow, scenic roads and older houses dating back to the 19th century, known locally for its honey and olive oil. A handful of grocery stores and tavernas serving fresh local dishes cover daily needs within the village. The area sits near Cape Paliouri, the southeasternmost point of the Kassandra peninsula, with Paliouri Beach and its crystal clear water on one side and Xenia Beach, known for its flour-like golden sand and shaded by pine trees, nearby as well.
