Siviri

Siviri is the west coast of Kassandra at its calmest: a wide sandy bay facing the sunset over Mount Olympus, a small village of a few hundred people, tavernas on the sand and an amphitheatre on the hill that hosts the Kassandra Festival every July and August. There is no strip and no nightlife, which is the reason to come.

The beach is long enough never to feel full, shallow for children, and mostly unorganised except in front of the village, where there are sunbeds and a beach bar. The water on this side of the peninsula is the Thermaikos gulf, a degree or two warmer than the east coast and glassy in the morning. Fourka and its beach are ten minutes south, Sani and Afytos fifteen minutes north, and Kallithea with its bars and restaurants twenty minutes across the peninsula.

Villas in Siviri are in the village and on the slopes behind the bay, many with sea views towards Olympus. Thessaloniki airport is an hour away. It suits couples, families with small children and anyone who wants the sunset side of Kassandra. Ask us for a shortlist with your dates.
