At 55 square metres, the layout suits a small group or family who want separate sleeping quarters rather than one open room, with a balcony, fireplace and a kitchen area with electric burner and utensils covering self-catering needs. A washing machine and flat-screen TV round out the practical side of a longer stay.

Afytos itself is built on a hilltop, its stone houses and lanes looking out over the Toroneos Gulf toward the Sithonia peninsula. The village keeps its traditional character, with stone architecture, tavernas and summer artistic events drawing visitors up from the coast. Down at sea level, Afytos Beach runs for some five kilometres, split into Varkes, a shallow stretch near the village centre good for children, and Liosi, a quieter swimming spot with clearer water for snorkeling.
