Rose Suite sits on the middle level of the complex, designed with honeymooners in mind. The bedroom holds a Queen size bed, and the bathroom is tiled in white marble pebbles, giving the whole space a soft, polished feel rather than the usual stone-and-tile look of the island. A private balcony opens onto the sea view that Imerovigli is built for.

The village itself is known locally as the balcony of the Aegean, perched along the caldera rim with views across the volcano and the water below. It is quieter than Fira or Oia, with narrow paved paths and whitewashed, blue-domed Cycladic buildings rather than crowds. Skaros Rock, the ruined 13th-century Venetian palace, is a short walk away, and several tavernas with caldera views serve dinner as the sun goes down over what is regarded as one of the island's best spots for watching it.

Guests are met with a welcome drink on arrival. The suite's outdoor jacuzzi offers a hot hydromassage, a good way to end most evenings. Indoors there is high-speed Wi-Fi and a flat screen TV. Air conditioning is individually controlled in the suite. Maid service is provided during the stay, and coffee facilities are available daily.
