Above Blue sits in Imerovigli, on the caldera rim roughly 3 km from Fira, in a village known for being quieter than its more famous neighbours. The patio holds sun loungers and a double day bed for stretched-out afternoons. Guests can spread across three separate sitting areas, and a sauna room adds a touch most villas in the area don't offer. The main bedroom has its own sitting area and opens directly to a master bathroom with a marbled mosaic shower.

Outside the gate, the Fira-to-Oia coastal path passes right through Imerovigli, a roughly 40-minute walk with open caldera views the whole way, and the blue-domed Anastasis Church is a short stroll for anyone wanting the classic Santorini photograph. Evenings are well spent locally, with tavernas and restaurants built around caldera-facing terraces, and Imerovigli's reputation as one of the island's better sunset spots holds up from the villa's own private terrace.
